AUTISM 101!

Hey guys! Its [Paotism], and this is a little segment i made up called. . . "AUTISM 101!"! Ok, well here, we teach you a little bit about autism, while havin some fun! Ok, so first of, this is only the introduction, and here i will tell you how YOU can join the fun, and learn more about autism. There IS a rule though, when you join this class, this is what you have to do:

*When joing the first time, you MUST post 5 facts about autism! example:

1. 1 in every 150 children has Autism.
2. Autism is the most common of the Pervasive Developmental Disorders (PDD).
3. Autism is said to be a spectrum disorder.
4. The reason for Autism is unknown.
5. Autism has no found cure.

After you have done that, you can talk about anything really, so loosen up, and join us on our quest to learn more about autism!

3. The cause of autism is *not* bad parenting!
4. Not all people with autism are nonverbal- some *do* talk! (not my bro though)

As many of you know, I recently opened Autism School. Looking over the threads, however, I saw Autism 101 and thought that some people might not understand the difference between Autism School and Autism 101 (and I don't blame you if you don't).

Well, Autism School is if you really don't know much about autism or would like to expand your knowledge of it. It is more of a serious course that goes in-depth with the facts and has much discussion going on.

Autism 101, however, is just for basic facts. There can be discussion, go right ahead, but it is not meant to be as serious as Autism School.

(Pao, please correct me if I'm wrong.)

Thats right! Autism School (by autism10) is pretty much for "beginners" and or better explanations on autism (more in depth), while Autism 101 (by me! ) is mostly for strutting your knowledge on the basics of autism! :] That way you can help others also learn interesting facts, but this is not considered direct teaching. :[ Either way, both threads help increase you knowledge on autism and help you understand it more while having a good time, i hope you enjoy both of them!
