Class 1-1, ALL MEET HERE!!!!!

Hello, this is autism10. [Paotism] and I will be co-teachers of Class 1 of Level 1, or Class 1-1 for short.

I am really glad that you guys have taken this opportunity to learn more about autism. It is a really interesting topic to study and I hope that we can make it a really fun experience for you!
This class will work by having discussions about the corresponding Level 1 topics. How much discussion there will be can depend on the topic and how involved you guys are getting.

I hope this short intro helps you and that your journey to learning much about autism is THE BEST!!!!~!

Hey all! :] It's [Paotism], and I'm back, but now I'm a TEACHER! Hehe, well anyway, let me just remind you all the Autism10 and i are both different people with different thoughts/beliefs/rules/ideas/expectations/ect. and that if you happen to disagree with our ways, you may want to speak up and we "might" be able to bend the rules (if reasonable). I know what it's like to not like a teacher (im in school too ya know), and i know what it's like to think something is just unfair, but i learned a little while ago that sometimes (i said SOME times) you just have to deal with it, because if you don't, you'll just end up in trouble (that's how i ended up with a detention). Either way, point is that sometimes even though things aren't fair through your eyes, they are just right through ours, and if you think that autism10 is too friendly, or im too cold, then maybe you are just the same through our eyes. Either way, i hope to have you in my class, and i hope we can have an AWESOME time! :]

and if i get a detention for being rude or something, they'd probably say that quote,
and i'd say ''you, you want to be given detentions then?'' but, i'd probably be kicked out. ;m;

Lol (that SERIOUSLY made me laugh! ) I know EXACTLY what you mean, i always have to try really hard so i dont blow up and totally kill my teacher! (and yay, theres someone who shares my feelings too ) By the way. . . OMIGOSH! You are my FIRST student~!!! You are totally not going to regret being in my class, i PROMISE! ( I am totally gonna pamper you, not to play favorites or anything! ) Ok, well, first off, I dont believe in homework! Mostly if its on a website, cus your already spending some of your free time learning here, so this is technically homework to you already! Also, i sincerely have no idea how this is going to work out (with all the different time zones, and the whole problem of me being logged on while your off and vise versa ) but im sure that once autism10 (the admin of this website, i think you know her ) thinks of a good plan, then it'll all work out! (So technically, your on break right now! lucky you ) Hehe, well anyway, i am SO glad you joined, and i really hope to talk to you soon~

First off, there is no homework, I don't believe in homework either. It would be nice to assign teachers homework sometimes though

So, this post gets to be long so I will start a new post with the first subject in class!

Okay, I will run through a brief explanation of what autism is, taken from the main site:

Autism is a mental condition that causes a person to have different abilities. Most sources (and professionals!) call autism a disability, which is okay for some people, but it isn’t quite right for us at TAR.com. Why? Because while autism impairs an individual’s ability to do certain things, it will also improve the same person’s ability for other things.

So from here on out, we will elaborate on this.

The cause of autism is yet to be known.
It shows up around the time that vaccinations are given, around 2-3 years of age, so some people think that the cause is because of that.
A long time ago it was believed to be the effect of bad parenting, but that has long been disproved
Some think genetics, some think environmental factors; others take it a step further and think that combinations cause autism.
For example, some people believe that autistic people can't take certain chemicals in vaccines, and the vaccines have some type of effect in them, causing autism, which in turn affects mainly communication, among other skills.
What do you guys think?

Yeah, lolz, when I say Pao, that's [Paotism] (her nickname to her username) and if she (or anyone) says Pau, that's me :DD
Cause? I think that autism is caused by something wrong in the genetics of the unborn baby combined with some environmental factor after he/she is born, causing a reaction in the brain and *eventually* autism.
