[UPDATE - 2009/6/8] Points and Reputation

First post in over... FOUR MONTHS. four. freaking. months.

We haven't had much activity at ALL!

I've been busy with school and that crap (and seriously tired) so there's PART of my reason, but I've been on Perfume City to no end! So this inactivity has gotten to me!

Anyway...

Here's some updates I've done to the TAR forum:

I added something called Advanced profiles.
So the new profiles seem to be more like a social networking site (not that I would know) than a phpBB profile... you can now leave comments on profiles and see people's friend lists.

The points system is basically how well-known you are.
The reputation system is how well-liked you are.

The way the points system works is this:

For every day that you have been registered, you get one point. (this has been taken into consideration for all members)

Every time you add a friend, you get 10 points, and when you add a comment on a profile you get three points.

When you post a REPLY in one of these forums, you will get ONE (heyyy, that's the song I'm listening to... I love your smile itsu no hi ga konna... sorry) point:

When you post a REPLY in one of these forums, you will get THREE points:
>The BBS Related Things Forum
>TAR contests
>Other contests

When you post a REPLY in one of these forums, you will get FIVE points:
>Autism Information
>Sign-Ups (Autism School)
>Teacher Sign-Ups (Autism School)
>Level 1 (Autism School)
>Level 2 (Autism School)
>Level 3 (Autism School)
>Graduations (Autism School)

When you post a TOPIC in one of these forums, you will get NO points (which means you shouldn't be making threads in that particular subforum... usually):
>About the Mods
>All of the Autism School forums

When you post a TOPIC in one of these forums, you will get FIVE points:
>TAR contests
>Other contests

When you post a TOPIC in the Autism Information forum... you will get TEN points!! (transcend the TEEEEN!!! Ami Suzuki obsession!)

As for the other forums... you will get THREE points if you make a TOPIC in them.

Also, if you have a listed birthday, you will get [transcend the] TEN points for a birthday present! This will not be an automatic process though... so you'll have to wait a LITTLE while I process your birthday... and I will have up to a seven-day delay, unless otherwise specified (if I'm on a trip, I will take longer

The way the reputation system works is like this:

You start with TEN (transcended! ) points... (if they work... I'm sort of taking things as they come)... then for every one of your posts other users can vote UP or DOWN. Every positive vote gives you [kirakira no the] ONE reputation point, but all negative points take off TWO!

Each user can only vote five times per day for each user, with at least a five second delay between each.
What is highly recommended is that you only count up or down if you think a post is either very good or very bad.

There is another feature that is part of the reputation system: the Thanks button.

If you made a thread and you think someone answered your questions very well, click the Thanks button (located by the Quote button) and this will add THREE POINTS to their reputation!!

Since this is a user-controlled feature, I have very little control over what happens with this. If I think numbers are getting bent up, then I reserve the right to cancel the Reputation system on our forum and keep the normal Points.
